We love chicken in this house. In fact, we don’t eat a bunch of red meat. You will soon learn that I often sub ground chicken or turkey for ground beef. Which leads me to my next crock-pot recipe.
There is something magical about what happens to chicken in a crock-pot. The key to super yummy chicken is don’t check it. Yes, you read that correctly. Trust your crock-pot. The moisture inside the crock-pot will make the chicken stay super moist!
The next piece of information is cook it, but don’t over-cook it! Okay, so this seems like a no brainer. However, you need to learn how your crock-pot cooks. Some are faster than others. Just like an oven your crock-pot isn’t the same as the next.
I am done with my crock-pot tips… on to the yummy recipe. I made this the other night and EVERYONE in our house LOVED it! I served it with some mashed potatoes and peas. Voila! A quick easy dinner, that was tasty and pretty healthy too!
Honey Garlic Chicken
- Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast, I used 4
- 3 Garlic Cloves, smashed and chopped
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Basil
- 3 Tbs of Minced Onion
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce Low Sodium
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1/3 cup Honey
Place the chicken in the crock-pot. In a glass measuring cup mix all the ‘sauce’ ingredients, pour over the chicken, cook for 3-4 hours on high. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy the tender, fall apart chicken.
